What was the problem?
Animation layers were not supported on Evolve and 3DS Max’s Save/Load Animation frustrated the animators. Lacking those two options, it was difficult for the animators to re-use existing animations with pose offsets for animations like Idles and Jetpacking.
What was the solution?
Pose Offset alters an animation to match a reference pose and works directly on the animation curves. For example, an idle animation for one weapon grip could be offset to match the idle pose of another weapon grip.
The tool could be run silently, or with a UI to allow greater control over the pose frame and frame range to adjust.
